Main Panel Upgrades

Main Panel Replacement

Replace an outdated, damaged, or problem-prone electrical panel with modern equipment — even when you don't need more amperage. We specialize in removing legacy panels and transferring circuits cleanly and safely.

  • Federal Pacific (Stab-Lok) panels
  • Zinsco and Sylvania-Zinsco panels
  • Pushmatic / Bulldog panels with obsolete breakers
  • Fuse boxes and split-bus panels
  • Panels with corrosion, water damage, or overheating
  • New 200 amp-class meter main panel installed on the side of a home

Replacement vs. upgrade

A replacement keeps your existing service size with new, safe equipment. An upgrade increases the service size. If you are likely to add an EV charger, heat pump, or ADU in the next few years, it is usually more cost-effective to upgrade at the same time — we will show you both options.

Questions

FAQ

Is my Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel dangerous?

Both brands have documented histories of breakers failing to trip under fault conditions. Many insurers and inspectors recommend replacement. We can evaluate your panel's condition on site.

Can you replace just the breakers?

For some legacy panels, replacement breakers are hard to find or not recommended. Replacing the panel is often the safer, longer-term fix.
