Questions

FAQ

Does an ADU need its own electric meter?

Not necessarily. Many ADUs are fed from a subpanel off the main house service. A separate meter may be required or preferred depending on the jurisdiction, utility, and how the ADU will be used.

Will I need a main panel upgrade for my ADU?

Often, especially for all-electric ADUs on homes with 100A service. A load calculation answers this early in planning.

Do you work with my general contractor?

Yes. We coordinate schedules and inspections with builders and designers, or work directly with homeowners.
